There is no add/drop period. Once students are enrolled, they will stay in those classes for the year. Please be sure your student is aware of the policy. Please select all classes with care and consideration. 2. Band is required for all students in grades 4-8 and for all high school students with music major. Many current students have already passed various auditions. Mr. Grammer will contact students who need to audition. AUDITIONS WILL BE ON AUGUST 3RD between 2:00-8:00PM (Same day and times for uniforms and selecting classes).3. Suzuki Piano is a required class for grades K-3. 4. ALL high school students must claim an “Arts Major”. They may choose from Drama, Music, Dance, or Visual Art. High school students will be required to take a minimum of 3 classes in their major each year. In addition, they may take as many other classes as they would like. If high school students in grades 10-12 choose early dismissal after completion of the 3 required classes, this must be in their permanent schedule for the year and may not fluctuate. 5. School performances ARE NOT OPTIONAL. As is stated in the handbook, all students are required to attend all shows whether they are actively participating or not. As a Christian school for academics and arts, unity and solidarity is essential in all things. 6. Private lessons in nearly all instruments are available for $25.00 per hour lesson, far below market value. Private lessons may be scheduled after school hours until 4:00pm or during the arts and activities periods where already noted. Please read about our excellent staff on www.ccsa.us under the faculty and administration tab. 7. Kindergarten students are dismissed at 2:00PM on Friday. Kindergarten parents may opt to dismiss their students earlier on other days, but it must be in their regular schedule and cannot change throughout the year.
